Summer Sideboard....with an OLD Window

We have quite a stash of old windows in our back shed....
that I have been meaning to use.

There is such a plethora of ideas....
Pinterest, other lovely blogs....
I was getting information overload....
the paralysis of analysis...
actually....

I was
just plain old lazy!

They were really dirty,
so I scrubbed them down, let them dry,

Painted this one and hung it outside...
you can read about it here.

and kept this one with it's distressed -'cause- it's- old look.

I found one of the hymns at Angie's Knick of Time.
 She has a lovely blog,
loads of redos on all kinds of stuff....
the things she can do with metal and old doodads!
AMAZING!
On Wednesdays she has a lot of antique graphics that you can download and print. Go look, but come back...wait, wait...finish here first because you will want to look at ALL of Angie's stuff!

I layered some of my scrapbook stuff and 2 b/w pictures.
One of my grandma and one of David's grandparents.
They are taped in so I can change the pictures out.
{sorry about the glare}

I kept the linen fabric and propped the window against the back of our sideboard.

We ripped our carpet out a few years ago and nailed pine boards down....
love our floors!

This guy has been outside for awhile,
decided to paint him with a faux stone finish....
looks like cement doesn't he.

My cloche was featured earlier in the week here.

My alabaster scale was just too visually airy....
didn't balance with the cloche,
so I replaced it with a trifle bowl turned upside down over a seashell...
much better.

Hope you like it.

My tablescape was in last weeks post....here.

Hope your week is amazingly wonderful!

 Blessings, Audrey

The windows are totally unreal. How clever to use the music as the background and your photos are wonderful. I really like the entire vignette, very pretty. Hugs, Marty

Audrey I love it, "the paralysis of analysis"! SO true! Also love old windows, can't get enough.

your whole house is lovely and the colors are really nice. I'm thinking of painting my big chicken a solid color like yours instead of the yellow-red-combo it came with. Your's seems to go with your tablescape better being one color.

Audrey, I'm so glad you enjoyed the antique hymns I posted - they look absolutely beautiful in such a weathered old window with your photos. I'll be featuring you next Wednesday for Antique Graphics Wednesday!

Blessings,
Angie

The wooden one with a somewhat antique finish is what interested me most. Don't paint over it, Audrey! This just proves that those old window frames could come in handy one day so don't throw them away, guys! :)
