Plays Well with Others

"Plays well with others."
When written on your report card meant that you kind of blended into the rest of the crowd....did not stick out as a trouble were just there.

Brown dishes had that same reputation.

At some points in the past Brown Ware was considered so boring dealers couldn't sell them. They were actually called 'Dead Ware'!

A few years ago Brown Ware started enjoying some new popularity...a shift in the way they were perceived.

Now, 'plays well with others.' means that they can be mixed with other dishes...Cream Ware, Red Transferware... any color that you can think of.

I think Brown Ware is quite lovely...even on it's own....and definitely 'plays well with others.'
Hope you are enjoying family and friends during the Christmas Season.
