You got to have the "White Stuff", Baby!

You gotta have the "White Stuff"!

The cream ware...white roses...white linens... and faded white paint.....

Notice how lovely this pretty teapot mixes with the other creamy whites.

Here is a view from our sunroom.

The white wicker lamp came to us from a dumpster dive many years ago.

The huge white window once graced a hardware store in a town nearby. We built our room around this window.

There are linens to be found at just about every flea market....sometimes you have to sort thru various and sundry piles.

OxyClean works well to clean them. Go easy on the bleach....they are often fragile.

The cake plate below was made by gluing a plate to a candlestick.

Lots less pricey than buying the ridiculously expensive cake plates!

See.... plate + candlestick= cake plate

Use silicone to glue the plate to the candlestick.

 Voila!

This chair is in our sunroom.

We found it flea marketing in Strasburg with my parents. Twenty-two dollars!

white chair-$22 [used PW Heartland action]

chandelier-$15

white pitcher & silk roses- Michael's Craft Store

tureen with linens

old books mix well with creamy whites

This white pitcher was waiting for us at a
 flea market in Woodstock, Va.

white platters and a bird's nest

This gorgeous white tureen is a little cracked.....

made it affordable.....

close-up of tureen lid

look good with all your other things
or they can stand on their own beautifully.

They are timeless and affordable.

When you keep your eyes open you can find some fantastic buys just about anywhere.

Walmart, Target, Michael's, T.J. Max all carry some wonderful selections.

Flea markets and Thrift stores carry charmingly chippy collectibles! [notice the alliteration]

Big jar of white buttons

So you see? You gotta have the "white stuff" , Baby!

Yummy, and THANKS for the idea to make a cake plate with a candlestick, a plate and some silicone glue! I am SO going to do that with some little white saucers I found today and some candlesticks I was going to sell. It will make for a pretty table on special occasions!

I'm so glad I found you, and will follow you - I'm new to blogdom. Stop by sometime!

I love using white too, the linens look so pretty in the tureen, I have a few of those too! Love those clocks you have, I found one for $4.00 at the flea market, just like my mom had when I was a teenager!
I'm your newest follower, stop by when you have a minute!
