Vintage Dresser to Bathroom Sink

You have heard the expression
 "everything, but the kitchen sink!"
Well....
We have everything AND the sink in our bath!
A bathroom sink set on top of a vintage dresser that we found for 50 dollars.

Both the dresser
and the faux marble sink fit perfectly in our little bathroom niche.
The plumbing is in the cut-away sections of the drawers.
David simply boxed in the parts of the drawers that were affected by the plumbing and gave us much needed storage.

I saw an article in a Victoria Bliss magazine a few years ago that used tortoise shell with silver....thought it was quite pretty!

Our walls are a dark blue grey with heavy cream for the trim and upper parts.

We LOVE the English Cottage look!
So...
we have been installing WIDE baseboards throughout our little cottage.

This  faux-tortoiseshell-finished clock
and the beaded lamp brings in the rich browns that I was looking for.

This silver tray brings a touch of prettiness and organization.

The flooring...... just the easy peel and stick....
continues the tortoise-shell coloring and is super easy to keep clean.

I found this shower curtain in the clearance at Wally-World.
The amber tones and curtain rings carried out my colors,
while the  chrome light sconces and sink faucet bring in a silver tone.

A big thank you to  Jody and Stan at

Rooted in Thyme for featuring my post

Something's Fishy....you are too kind!

What a fabulous bath Audrey! I love all your ideas!
We plan on doing the same thing with an old dresser and a "bowl" type sink later this year when we FINALLY get around to our remodel!
Cheers,
Lynn

I'd love to do something like this! Maybe David could show how he boxed the drawers in...:)

I've always wanted to do this! It's beautiful! And what a great savings. We remodeled and added a bathroom and I was amazed at how expensive even a run-of-the-mill vanity cost. And they're not even close to this as far as being charming! Great work!

I have always wanted to do this with a sink and a dresser! Love the look.
I also love your floor. Another thing I have thought about doing with the peel and stick flooring.
Great job and thanks for sharing!

hugs,
Deb

Love this! We want to do the same thing in our hallway bath. (We have an English-style cottage that the former owners tried to ruin...it's an uphill battle.)

I love old dresser in a bathroom, and yours is quite pretty. I love the English Cottage look, and your bathroom is so charming in that style. I also love the floor, the flooring and shower curtain help carry the style so very pretty, but then I don't expect anything less from you. So glad you shared your creative inspiration with Sunday's Best!
