We went camping for several days . It rained and was cold for most of the time. Still had a good time. We were on a prayer retreat, My Sweetheart and I.
When it is cold and rainy I crave sunshine. Do you?
Yellow is such a comforting and warming color....the color of SUNSHINE!
So I put together a couple of collages of my mellow yellows....
I LOVE teacups and teapots. The lemon teapot below was such a wonderful deal. I included a picture of the price tag....$1.50....can't beat that with a stick! [smile]
We had a few visitors to our campsite.
A skunk sat on David's foot....
while he was praying one night in front of the fire ring.
He did not panic.
I would have screamed and been sprayed!
A cute little chipmunk vacuumed the sunflower seeds David spread on the picnic table.
I was working on my jewelry on one of the few sunny afternoons.....
and the little guy scampered all around stuffing his pouches.....
running to put the seeds in his nest......
then coming back for more
The mountain Laurel was blooming. |
Even when the sun doesn't shine, we can have sunshine in our soul.
Remember...take time to smell the roses...don't allow time to slip by without enjoying the important people in your life!
Many Blessings, Audrey

What a sweet post!
How wonderful to get away from it all and be together. I'm sorry the weather was bad but it sounds like you made the best of it. Mountain laurel is so beautiful! And yes...I love sunshine! It gives me energy!
Very cute post. It looks like you both still had a wonderful time.

We just got home from a camping weekend and we were blessed with beautiful weather.
Glad to hear you made the best of your camping trip despite the rain. Your yellow collages are lovely! Beautiful china pattern.
That little chipmunk was adorable!

Hi Audrey, I too love the sunshine. It just brightens my soul. How nice that you and your husband were able to enjoy nature together. Love your sweet yellows and teacups. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
Hugs,
Jann
Hi, Audrey! I'm stopping over from 'Imparting Grace' blog hop. i love your teapot and teacups. Yellow is such a cheery color, but not easy to find in tea things. Also, we used to camp years ago and getting to see nature in action is one thing I really loved about it! Awesome pics! And a really sweet pic of you and your hubby on the bridge! :)
