Nativity in the Hoosier

We are in the final week before Christmas and I have not shown you my Nativity set that I feature in our Hoosier. If you missed a previous post about this piece of furniture I will fill you in. We found this cabinet in a friend's barn.
It was in very sad condition. We hauled it home...put it back together....painted and stained it....used it as a tv cabinet....now it serves in our kitchen. We store our baking supplies and favorite cook books here. The shelf in the middle makes a wonderful space to set up seasonal vignettes!

This is our kitchen looking thru the dining area out to the sunroom.

I really enjoy our pine floors!

The top of the hoosier holds favorite cookbooks...

So very serious faces...I get the 'deer in the headlights' look in front of people, too.

We enjoyed our Kid's Church Musical yesterday. I gave out almost all of the handmade gifts to church family....still have more to make....need to buy groceries at some point today....hopefully my Sweetheart will have his final therapy session for his back injury tomorrow....

I know you have much to do this week, too!

Take some time to be still and just breathe.....

Have a lovely week.

Try to remember that this season is not about presents, but about His Presence.

Oh those floors look like honey. Just lovely. You did an amazing job putting the Hoosier back together. It looks great. The children are so dear...love these kinds of presentations at church and, as a Christian schoolteacher for a dozen years, we did a lot of them. Merry Christmas!

I enjoyed seeing a part of your lovely home. Wish I had your floors. After the first of the year, I need to make some changes.
