Breakfast Nook

When we first saw our little cottage in the woods it was a diamond in the rough. But my Sweetheart is a visionary and saw the potential. One of the rooms we added on was this sweet little breakfast nook.

The windows were found in various places. English Cottage on the cheap was our intent. We used old barn wood for the beams.

 There are cute little shelves on each side.

The window seat is hinged with loads of storage underneath.

The trim paint is a warm cream and the walls are Audubon Green. {Sherwin-Williams}

What a charming breakfast area you all created and I love the colors you chose for the bench and pillows and the walls.

What did you use to spray paint those suitcases? Did you have to take off all the hardware or just sprayed it all like it was? Did you have to use a primer first?

Have an old clothes hamper I'd like to try to paint, it has a white vinyl front, wicker back and the lid has same white vinyl and I think the lid is made from plywood or masonite. Has metal rim trim around opening and bottom of hamper. It's 47 yrs. old but made much better than any you can buy today, that's why I want to save it and it's a great size.
