Spring Vignette

Even though it is freezing outside right at this moment....
I have great confidence that Spring is on its way.
We have jumped into Daylight Savings.
So that means Spring WILL get here☺

In the mean time I am dragging out more of our Spring doodads.

Our dining room table has been freshened up with a new vignette.

I started with a black and cream table runner that I made last year.
Then on top of the runner goes a really old mirror that we found eons ago at a flea market.

Then I placed a cream colored pitcher {TJMax} filled with faux flowers,
real ones will come later.

Next,
 I placed a sweet bluebird/cabbage teapot {flea market} that just epitomizes Spring
and makes me smile when I look at it.

Next,
I placed a plate stand with a cream plate
and a pretty light green plate in front.

 Still working on my sideboard.

Slowly working my way over into the kitchen.....
emphasis on the word slowly.

Don't forget to throw in a touch of whimsy.
You don't want your creation to look like anybody else just came in and decorated your house.
If you like something....
 use it.
If it makes you smile....
use it☺
That's where these cute little knick-knacks come in.....
pure whimsy and fun.

Hi Audrey. Love that table runner and the pitcher. I also use mirrors for trays, great idea! We've had over 80 inches of snow this winter so I'm really happy to be seeing more daylight lately. Might even be making one of my own spring vignettes one of these days:) xo Kathleen

Great tips Audrey! I'm trying to find my style amongst my spring doodads, too! Hope it comes quickly and I adore that bluebird teapot!

Beautiful vignette Audrey. I have been pulling out my spring doodads too. Unfortunately, they are still in the middle of the family room floor. When the flu bug hit me last week it took the wind out of my sails and I spent most of the week trying to recover. Your post has been an inspiration.

Love this sweet vignette! The runner is darling and the teapot and plate are perfect touches for Spring. I have a lot of bird items out right now, but will be pulling out Easter next week. Yes, don't forget the whimsy! I tried following through google, but it wouldn't let me. Will try again later. I have a link party, Share Your Cup Thursday. It's about sharing the things that make you happy. I'd love if you shared sometime. It airs Weds. at 4 mst.
hugs,
Jann
