Christmas Centerpiece

My Christmas Centerpiece is another example of layering.

1. The first layer is a decrepit, falling apart mirror. I love all the cracks and shabbiness of it.

2.Second layer is a trifle dish filled with glittery ornaments.

3.Third-A white platter that is gilded with gold and a red transferware plate in front.

4.Fourth-A Christmas teapot

5.Fifth-Fill in the empty spots-A mercury glass [not] bottle.Ross $4.99

6.Sixth-A white gilded reindeer to balance the white teapot on the other side.

7.Seventh-Fill in the gaps with greenery and glittery stuff.

It isn't difficult when broken down in layers and balancing out colors and textures. Relax and enjoy the process. If it is pleasing to your eye then go with it. It's your stuff and your house. Your house is your unique canvas...paint away!

Have a lovely week.

Try to remember that this season is not about presents, but about His Presence.

SOMETHING RED

Something cherry, something blue,
Something scarlet just for you;
Something blazing as the sun,
Something red when day is done.

Your step by step layering of the centerpiece is very clever. Spode's Pink Vista red transferware plate is one of my favorite patterns. The dog is cute and very quick to catch your attention. Merry Christmas and Happy Tablescaping! Pam
